In the past the town has rented Christmas decorations. These will belong to the town. They were purchased from Vaughan's Inc. I with the seller being Harrill Decorating Co. According to Mayor Bill Cox, these decorations will be used for four years or more. Purchased were 21 trees and six long ' garlands. The natural scheme will tie in with the nations 200th birthday. jTime To Give Shots ' j-1 All county dog owners are reminded that it is time for rabies vaccinations. The law requires every dog bwner in North Carolina to have his or her dog vac cinated against rabies. This should be done to save yourself possible court action. The dog warden rabies inspector has the authority to cite into court anyone not complying with this law. W. Ray White, the dog warden - rabies inspector for Perquimans County has set up a partial schedule for vaccinations The vac cination price is $1.50. The completion of the schedule will appear at a future date in The Perquimans Weekly. ! Firm To Open " Gregory Poole Equipment Company, the Caterpillar Tractor dealer for Eastern North Carolina, announces plans for the establishment of a branch parts and ser .. vice facility in Edenton. j The half -million dollar masonery and steel structure will be built on a site at the Edenton Airport on Midway Road. Initially, a temporary building will be Built with operations scheduled to begin within 60 days. The permanent structure will be approximately 18,500 square feet in size and will employ 40 to 50 ' persons when in full operation.
