; The present standings of the Volleyball League
sponsored by the Perquimans County Recreation
Association was recently released. The schedule lor
the women's teams will be released at a later date.
The standings as of Tuesday morning are as follows:

recently announced the -results
of the fall bazaar
given in behalf of the
Bel videre-Chappell Hill
Volunteer Fire Department
recently.
'; Mrs. Rogerson said, "The
response to the bazaar
from the community was
wonderful and the en
thusiasm was marvelous.,.
The results of all of this
made a huge profit to go
toward making a payment ,
on the lire truck. The
members of the auxilary
would like to thank all of the
church groups, the clubs,
and all of the individuals
who contributed to this
cause in any way. Without
the help of the majority, the
results would not have been
so great.
Mrs. Rogerson, chair
person of the bazaar
committee, pointed out that
each contribution may aid
some ; family when the
department's truck is called
to a fire.
PKEPARATlON -. Millard "Shorty" Layden, a regular
participant and member of the Perquimans County Horse
and Pony Club prepares for the last show of the season.
The special last show will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3 at the
club's new ring site west of Hertford. The Perquimans
County Marching Unit will open the show with the playing
of "The Star Spangled Banner." Trophies and ribbons will
be awarded to winners in halter, English and western
pleasure, pony, and speed classes. The club invites the
public to come out and join in their special last showing
and enjoy the many concessions that will be on hand. .

ACTION Two members of the Forestburg Rangers
volleyball team make sure that the ball does not pass them
by during a recent game with Woodard's Pharmacy. In
the present standings, the Rangers are one of three teams
to be undefeated. Women's volleyball action began last
Sunday with Hertford Hardware defeating Snook's Girls
and Morgan's Furniture winning over Bank of N.C. The
volleyball games are open to the public. There Is no ad
mission charge and the concession stand is well-stocked.
