Fig S-Th Perquimans Weekly, Hertford, N.C, Thursday, November 14, 1974 . Parade Entries Needed Where's the Christmas spirit? This year's Christmas Parade being organized by " the Perquimans County Jaycees with assistance by the county Chamber of Commerce, got off to an enthusiastic start. But if replies continue to come in slowly or not at all, this year's parade will not be the success that the planning committee hoped for. Over 200 letters with forms were sent out to groups, clubs, churches and organizations in an pffnrt to insure one of the best Christmas parades ever. An overwhelming majority of these letters were sent to groups within Perquimans County. All groups were re quested to have the forms returned to the Perquimans County Jaycees by Nov. 15. Groups that have voted not to participate are en couraged to return their forms just as tliose agreeing to participate. All groups that are planning to participate are encouraged to return the form immediately. Any group that has not received a form and would like to participate in the Christmas Parade may obtain one from Parker Newbern, Christmas Parade Chairman, 426-7873. Thp narade will be held Friday, December 6 at 4 p.m. Participants will meet and line up at Perquimans County high School at 3:45. Al present, thirteen groups and-or individuals have agreed to take part in this year's parade.
