Adult Softball goes into its final three
weeks starting next week. In the men's
league, the Kilowatts lead Albemarle
Chemical by one game. In the women's
league, Betty's Boutique leads Charlie's
Angels by one game. The action is Mon
day through Thursday at the Union
School softball field.
Girls' softball is going along real well
also. The girls play on Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
The Babe Ruth 16-18 Area G Tourna
ment will be held July 12-15 at Hicks
Field in Edenton. The Albemarle All
Stars are the host team in the doable
elimination event. Make your plans now
to see some good baseball.
And, finally, congratulations to the
four Perquimans County young men who
played American Legion baseball.
Although the team lost several games,
each of the young men showed a lot of
desire and hustle, and represented the
county well. They were Marvin Hunter,
Jerry White, Gary Hunter and Howard
Williams.
