Highlights of the 1986 Christmas Parade Pictured above is the FOFF float, far right is the Junior tffescue Squad float which was a first place winner, right is" pictured an antique car )v(iich participated in the pa -rade, below is Santa as he's pulled into town. On S?t. the streets of Hertford came alive with the annual Christmas parade. Bands played, floats passed by, and Santa came to town. The parade was sponsored by the Jaycees, and everyone had a great time. After the parade everyone went to Miss ing Mill park for a concert, and the ded ication of a new flag pole to the citizens of Perquimans County. The float winners were as fol lows: Schools- 1st place, Central School, 2nd place, FFA and FHA, Civic and Church- 1st place, Junior Rescue Squad , 2nd place, Piney Woods, and 3rd jtlace, Apricot, Inc. and Berea Church of Christ. Pictured top left is the group from Central School as they receive their check for first place, bottom left is a picture of the monument presented to the Countyin front of the flag pole, and right is pictured the presentation of the flag pole to the county.
