(or "VIRTUE TRIUMPHS OVER VILLAINY"). Casting will be held at the Perquimans County Chamber of Commerce - building at Hertford at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: Tuesday, March 14th, March 16th, Tuesday, March 21st; and Thurs ? day, March 23rd. A native of New Gretna, N. J., he was the husband of the late, Marie Elizabeth Hilgert Van Sant, and the son of the late, Lavinia Cramer Van Sant and John Randolph Van Sant. A resident of Elizabeth City for 48 years, he was a retired su pervisor with Elizabeth City Ship yard. Capt. Van Sant was a Meth odist and a member of the Elizabeth City Post No. 6060 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a veteran of World War I and was very active in yachting. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edison (Hazel) Harris of Rt. 4, Hertford, and Mrs. Lois Van Sant Speight of Goldsboro; one sis ter, Edith Brooks of Pleasantville, N.J.; two grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. RALPH EMERSON PERRY Ralph Emerson Perry, 89, of Rt. 2, Box 68, Hertford, died early Monday morning, March 6, in Cho wan Hospital. A native of Perauimans County, he was the husband of Ira Copeland Perry and the son of the late Thomas E. and Anna Winslow Perry. A retired farmer, he was a member of Piney Woods Friends Meeting and a member of Wood men of the World. Besides his wife survivors in elude seven daughters, Bessie Lee Sawyer of Elizabeth City, Lessie Mae Amato of New Jersey, Viola Overman and Leona Parks both of Rt. 3, Hertford, Lucy Jennings of Rt. 1, Belvidere, Patricia Wiggins of Rt. 1, Hobbsville, and Madeline Langley of Rt. 2, Hertford; four sons, Rudolph Perry, Curtis Ray Perry, and Joe Perry all of Rt. 2, Hertford, and T. E. Perry of Hobbsville; 37 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 8, in the Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church.
