APRIL 12 ■ Blood Drive The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive April 12 at Albemarle Plantation from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. APRIL 14 ■ Young Child Festival The 10th Annual “Week of the Young Child” Children’s Festival and Safe Kids Day will be held April 14 at the Perquimans Recreation Center from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The festival will be hosted by Chowan/Perqui- mans Smart Start, Albemar le Regional Health Services, and Chowan County Safe Kids Coalition. Admission and all activities are free. APRIL 19 ■ Super Shred Day Vidant Chowan Hospi- tal will host a Super Shred Day April 19 from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the main entrance to the hospital. People are invited to bring their personal documents and have them profession ally shredded for free. APRIL 21 ■ Yard Sale The Perquimans County Senior Center will host a community yard sale on April 21 from 8 a.m. until noon. Rental spaces are $15. Donations are welcome from April 16 through April 20. For more information, call Penny at 426-5404. ■ Cleanup Day The Citizens for the Pres ervation and Growth of Hertford will be holding a clean up day April 21. Meet behind the municipal build ing. The clean up will run from 9 a.m. until noon. APRIL 24 Book Club An adult book club will meet April 24 at 6 p.m. at the Perquimans County Li brary. The group is reading “Bossypants” by Tina Fey. APRIL27 Golf Tournament The seventh annual Team Lesley four-person Super- ball golf tournament is on April 27 at The Sound Golf Links at Albemarle Planta tion. APRIL 28 ■ Garden Show The Albemarle Master Gardener’s Show will be held on April 28 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Perqui mans County Recreation Center. MAY 4-6 ■ Carolina Moon The Carolina Moon The ater will present “Nana’s Naughty Knickers” on May 4-6. Tickets will be on sale at Carolina Trophy starting March 26. MAY 3-4 ■ School Play Public performances of the Perquimans County High School spring musi cal “The Wizard of Oz” will be held May 34 at the high school auditorium.
