A&T State University where he w'as commissioned in 1969 through the Re serve Officers Training Corps program. The first of these workshops will concentrate on those services available to the area Senior Citizens from a State or Federal level. This initial workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 1976, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, N.C. (Located on corners of South Main and West Fourth Avenue.) Highlighting the work shop will be speakers from the N.C. Office for Aging, the Internal Revenue Services, the Employment Security Commission, the Federal Housing Administration, and the Social Security Commission. DEATHS & FUNERALS Marion Little, Sr. of 602 Ashburn St., died following hospitalization of eight days. Funeral services was held at First Emmanuel Baptist Church by the Rev. D. D. Mason. Burial was followed in Carolina Biblical Garden Haizlip Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Elvin Floyd Matthews, 68, of Rte. 3, Trinity, died following hospitali zation of two weeks and declining health of five years. Funeral services was held at St. Mary's Unit ed Methodist Church by the Rev. Johnny Boyd. Burial followed in the Trinity Cemetery. Haizlip Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Jones of 1724 Grant St., Winston-Salem, N.C., recently completed a US Air Force Reserve Offic ers Training Corps field training encampment at Dover AFB, Del. During the encamp ment, cadets receive survival and small arms training and aircraft and aircrew indoctrination. They also have the opportunity to observe careers in which they might wish to serve as Air Force Officers. The cadet is a student at North Carolina A&T State University. SAN ANTONIO-Airman Thomas A. Terrell, whose mother is Verna Ricks of 1213 Camden Avenue, High Point, NC has been assigned to Lowry AFB, Colo., after completing Air Force basic training. During the six weeks training at Lackland AFB Tex., the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and custom and received special instructions in human relations. Airman Terrell will now receive specialized training in the munitions and weapons mainte nance field. The airman attended Andrews High School. SAN ANTONIO-Airman Phillip W. Brackeen, Jr., whose wife, Barbara, is the daughter of Mrs. Christia Wise of Rt. 2, Newton Grove, N.C., has graduated from the Stra tegic Air Command Non commissioned Officer Academy at Barksdale AFB, La. The sergeant, who received advanced mili tary leadership and management training, is a personnel supervisor with the Air Force Reser ve Officer Training Corps detachment at Fayetteville (N.C.)
