College on August 3-5, with delegates from 17 southern states, announced yesterday that plans for bringing Muriel Rahu to Greensboro to appear as guest star at their pageant have been completed. The New Farmers ot America is the national organization o? Negro farm boys studying vocational agriculture iu the public schools throughout the United States. Tlie organization now boasts 25,000 active members in approximately 1,000 chapters. The organization affords its members an opportunity to develop leadership in their vocational, social and recreational life, the type of leadership essential for the modern successful farmer. The national talent show and pagent, one of the highlights of the convention at A. and T. College this year, is being directed and produced by Dick Campbell, former talent coordinator for U. S. 0. Camp Shows His pageant with Miss Rahn as guest artist, will depict the activities and contributions ot the New Farmers of America organization throughout the South. Several outstanding American leaders will be on hand to address the delegates coming from Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, | Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Windsor Center Summer time is wimuling time and Windsor Center Swimming pool offers a complete swimming program for Greensboro citizens of all ages, during the vacation period. The pool is open daily from 1:00 p. m. to 6:00 P. ni. The pool is maintained in strict accordance with rules and regulations as set by the Public Health Department. Free instruction in swimming and diving is furnished by competent teachers, and life guards are on duty at all times. The pool is also open to clubs, out of town picnics and other groups by appointment. Application must he made in advance by calling 5761. The colored playgrounds will enjoy a motion picture program of 1V4 hours of films depicting a traveling circus, to be shown at five playgrounds this week and next. Shows will begin at 8 n. m. and will be held at Hanov Hill Friday, July 25, Lutheran, Wednesday, July 30 and Price, Thursday, July 31. Parents are urged to accompany children to the movies. The Warnersville Hawks nosed out the Columbia Laundry 11 to 8 in a Junior Baseball League Game, Thursday afternoon on the Windsor Center Athletic Field. Troop 40 lost to the Palace Theatre 7 to 5 in another baseball league game on the A. and T. athletic field. O n Wednesday afternoon Troop 40 in an exhibition baseball game at Sedalia with Sedalia Juniors suffered a 12 to 7 lose.
