Deaths and Funerals MR. FELTON MANNER X Mr. Felton Hanner, age 73, of 313 Beech Street, died Wednes day, July 5, 1967 at L. Richard son Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 8th, at Hargett's Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a. m. Dr. C. W. Anderson, pastor of United Institutional Baptist Church, officiated. Burial fol lowed at Hanner Chapel Ceme tery. He is survived by: his wife, the former Irma Law of the home; one son, Mr. Felton Han ner, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Campbell and Mrs. Doris McKethan Towns of Greens boro; a host of other relatives and friends. The family met their friends Friday night from ' 7 to 9 at Hargett's Funeral Home. Hargett Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. MRS. MAGGIE STANDBACK Mrs. Maggie Standback, age 59, of 807 S. Cedar Street, died Sunday, July 8, 1967 at her home. Funeral services were held "Wednesday, July 12th at Trinity | A. M. E. Zion Church. The body was placed in the church at 12:00 noon. Rev. Cecil Bishop, pastor, officiated. Burial followed in Evans Chapel Cemetery, Chatham County, North Carolina. She is survived by: six sisters, Mrs. Dallie Fikes, Mrs. Vlcie Carter, Mrs. Lela Headen of Siler City, N. C., Mrs. Wanie Alston of Efland, North Caro lina, Mrs. Leola Johnson of Staley, North Carolina and Mrs. Louise Peoples of Greensboro, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. HARRIS Funeral services were con ducted for Rev. Lonnie L. Har ris on Wednesday, July 12, 1967 at 4:00 p. m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Greensboro, N. C. Rev. Frank Williams, the pastor, offi ciated. Rev. Lonnie L. Harris, son ol the late Mr. and Mrs. James Harris, was born in Rockingham County Sept. 17, 1898. He de-j parted this life Sunday, July 9, 1967 at his home. After his marriage to Miss Hattie Whitsett he moved to Greensboro, N. C. where their three children were born. He joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was ordained as deacon In the early 1930's. Soon after that he was ordained by the High Point Association. He pastored at the Mechanic Bap tist Church in Asheboro, N. C. and the Summerfield Baptist Church. As a result of ill health he retired from his charges in 1960. He leaves to mourn their loss a daughter, Mrs. Annie Bell Frisby, of New York; two sons, Lawrence of Detroit and James of Chicago; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dora McCallum of High Point, N. C. and Mrs. Mary Martin of Greensboro, N. C.; two brothers, Mr. E. C. Har ris of Lynchburg, Va. and Rev. I. P. Harris, and a devoted sis ter-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Har ris with whom he made his home, and several nieces and and nephews and many friends. MRS. MATTIE LONG LINDEB Mrs. Mattie Long Linder, age 60 died at her home 201 S. Dud ley Street Tuesday morning, July 11th following a brief ill ness. Funeral service will be held Friday, 2:00 p. m., Brown's Fu neral Home Chapel. Rev. S. L. Penn, pastor of Bethel A. M. E. Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memorial Park. The body will remain at Brown's Funeral Home until the hour of service. Survivors include her hus band, Fred Linder; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Young Hampton, Greensboro, and Mrs. Delia Miller, New York, N. Y. Brown's Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
