BE A SMART SANTA CLAUS
(Continued From Page 1)
If we encourage it, toys can
be used as a means of teaching
our children to respect property,
to take care of their things. To
clean up, etc. So we can see
that toys and play help children
to grow in many ways. We also
know that as a child grows, his
needs for toys change. What he
needed at one isn't what he
needs at six. But we also know
that sometimes our children can
use the same basic equipment
and play with it in a different
way. Since in 1970 we have plac
ed our emphasis on the child
from infancy through the 5th
year. Let's take these age groups
and think a little bit about the
kinds of toys that children en
joy and need.

the immediate world around
him) i

areas of play)
