The Sunday Schools, of the
Kings Mountain Baptist. Asso
eiation met at. Double Springs
Church last Saturday and Sun-
day. This event occurs ever"
fifth Sunday and the day before
just as the Union Meetings do in
most of our associations. Those
who were present both days say
that it was one the very best sea
sions" that the association hns
ever enjoyed. The program from
from beginning, was cood. Good
live subjects had been selected
and as a rule the appointed
speakers were present. The ses
sion was well attended through
out and the Double Springs oeo
pie certainly were eoual to the
occasion and they showed their
high appreciation by their hos
pitabie entertainment.
Double. Springs church is situ
ated on the Southern Railway
about a mile from .Washburn
station and ' about seven miles
west of Shelby. It is in the verv
heart of one of Chvelan'd finest
farming sections. It is surround
ed und. supported by some of the
JElite of the state. They are nros
pe.roua and cultivated people
who are able to live at home and
board at the same, place. And.
besides, they fully appreciate
t ie value and benediction of
having a great religious ."gather
inn among them.
Those atteuding the . associa
tion from Kings Mountain were
H . F.McMillan and G. G. Pane.
Thef Double Springs session of
the association made a record
for attendance, spirituality, hos
pitality and good rations. The
spread, Sunday wus of a verv
high order. It was not a common
picnic dinner but every morsel
wasspeeially pnpared and ud
to the standard of excellence
They said it was just as good
