was announced. today by Alumni
President Kay E. Brown for 7:00

Purpose of the gathering will be
to complete plans for the J. D. Huggins
Memorial building to be erected
by the alumni association during
an expansion program. The
structure recently was approved. after
a five-year consideration as a
suitable memorial to the late Professor
Huggins, a founder of the
school and for many years prest
dent of the institution.
As planned, the building would
serve as a library and cost between
83,000 and 85.0U0. being built in conjunction
with but In addition to the
$35,000 building program scheduled
to get underway at the Junior college
this spring. The new library
care of the needs of the school for

contributions. President Brown asserted
several hundred of the alum

pledge cards having been sent to
all whose addresses are known. The
response to date has been enthusiastic.

construction can begin as soon as
weather permits in the spring.
