Miss Anuie Stabler sang, O Promise Me, and, 1 Love You Truly During the ceremony, TraumereL was played, and the wedding music ot Wagner and Mendelssohn- was used as processional and recession al numbers. . The bride .and bridegroom entered the church unattended. The bride was lovely in a costume of.powder blue marquisette worn with white hat and accessories. Her flowers were gardenias in a shoulder bouquet. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. John A. Coon and the late Mr. Coon. She was graduated from Hessemei' City High School in lite class of '39 and is prominent in the work of her church. The bridegroom is a 'son of Mr. and Mrs. .1). D. Llttlejohn, of Kings Mountain. He was graduated from Kings Mountain High School and later studied at A. S. T. C? Boone. He holds a position witl\ the Western Auto Supply Co. In Kings Mountain. After a trip to the mountains the couple will be at home with Kirs. Littlejohn's mother. GLEE BRIDGES ENTERTAINED ON BIRTHDAY Mr. Glee Bridges was delightfullv surprised last Friday evening when he arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hord for what he thought was going to be just a private dinner engagement. Mrs. Bridges bad pre-arranged with Mr. and Mrs Word a surprise party for her hus band who was said to be celebrating his 75th or 80th birthday. Gifts were presented the honored guest by those who had been invited for the occasion. Following the delicious dinner at which Mr. Hord presided guests ot fered Mr. Bridges many happy returns of the day. Those present for the surprise party were Messevs Hay Williams, Jim Willis, Joe Neisler, D. G. Littlejohn, David Hamrick, Arnold Kiser E. C. McClain, Dick Tate, Ladd Ham rick vand Paul Mauney. VISITOR HONORED Honoring their house guest, Miss Paulella Adair ot Spartanburg, Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Crook entertained at four tables of bridge Tuesday evening. Bowls of mixed flowers and vases of colorful gladioli were arranged In the living room and music room. % * Mrs. O. M. Morris and Mr. Lester Hoke received prizes for high score and Miss Adair was presented an honor gift. ' Ice cream and cake was served after the game.
