An interesting report of their work at the 'First Tar Heel State," at Gr?>ensboro was given by Misses Alice Betty Mauney and Jo Keeter, who were sponsored by the Lions Club and American Legion Auxiliary. A report of the recent State Convent at High Point was given by Mrs. Glee Bridges. The following officers for the coining year were installed: Mrs. Glee Bridges, president;. Mrs. Paul Mauney, vice-president; Mrs. Baxtet Hayes, secretary; and treasurer, Mrs. A. G. Sargeant, chaplain, Mrs. Pride Ratterre, historian, Mrs. L. D. Shuford. Sargeant-at-Arms. 17 members attended the meeting and one new menber, Mrs. Wallace Wefcden, was present. A terptlng salad course and sweet course was served. In the dining room a color note of bridal white and green wus observed The table was spread with a handsome cloth of cut-work and lace und bad for its floral decorations an effective arrange of da|nty white flowers and greenery. Ice cream, cake and mints, in white anil green was served by Misses Maud J Williams, Douglas Plonk, Faye Mauuey, Hazel Falls, Mrs. B. D. Ratterree nud Mrs. Charles Goforth. Mrs. E. C. McClain and Miss Annie Roberts directed the guests to the den, where Mrs. J. D. Willis and Mrs. O. O. Jackson received. The register was presided over by Mrs George Moss. Mrs. Bill Craig and Mrs. Claude Hantbright directed the guests to the garden where refreshing punch was served by Mrs. C. C. Oates. MissDolores McDaniel and Miss Dorothy- Patterson. Mrs. Will Byrd and Mrs. Lono McGill bade the guests goodbye. Music wag furnished during the afternoon by Mrs. N. F.
