McKee and the late Mr. < McKee of Shelby, Sundsy in a sim-> pie but impressive ceremony held Immediately after the morning ser vice at the First Baprtiat church in Kings Mountain. The Rev. L.-C. Pin nix officiated, using th<*.dOble-vlng; ceremony. Wedding music was presented by ?the bride's sister, Mis? Melba Ann Tindall, vocalist, and Miss Lufa Mae Teague, organist. The couple came into the church end to the altar together and unat K-ned. The bride wore a champagne tsuit with navy blue accessories end a cluster of, red roses pinned at her shoulder. The bride is a graduate of King* Mountain high school and is em ployed as cashier at Keeter's Depart ment stOre in Kings Mountain. The bridegroom is a graduate of Boiling Springs high school and Is employ ed as a shipping clerk at the Maun ey Hosiery Mill. After the ceremony an informal luncheon wail served at the home of the bride's a parents. Out-of-town guests who attended the wedding ami luncheon Included Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cooper, and dau ghter of Qaffney, S. C.. Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Barber and Mr. and Mrs. Tal rr.edge Laudermilk, Trout man, Miss Ethel Haynes of Hickory, and Mrs. S L. McKee, Mrs. Faye Lovelace and son, Larry, and Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Miss Griffin Honored ? ? With Luncheon Miss Je'Anne Grlifin, bride-elect, was the recipient of a lovely honor when she was entertained at lunch eon by Mrs. Norman Morrow 1 and Mia* Caroline Morrow at their home in Gaatonia on Saturday at one o' clock. The tables were exquisitely ap pointed with embroidered linen cut work covers, crystal and silver. Each was centered with a dainty nosegay arrangement of fragrant violets and the bride's and her mother's places Indicated by corsages of the same flower. A olor motif of purple and green was used throughout the rooms and also in the menu. The hostesses^ served grape cock tail* purple coagsoJed salad with pressed chicken on lettuce with but ter-ham rolls and ootffee to Sowed by raspberry shortcake. Place cards were miniature picture hat*. The bride was presented a sugar and cream set in her china pattern. Those attending the luncheon were Miss Je'Anne Grifin, honoree, and her mother, Mrs. E. W. Griffin, Mesdames Aubrey Mauney, Charles Carpenter, Jr.. Milton Fryer, Fred McDanlel and Miss Carolyn McDan lei of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Richard Ferguson, Mrs. George Patterson. Mrs. Sumner, M re. Philhowei, and Miss Ruth Day Michael of Gastonia and Mrs. B. M. Squires of Charlotte. TirKtall, all of Shelby. After the luncheon Mr. and Mrs. McKee left ? for a short honeyjnoon after which they will live at 204 Ea?t King street. Joan >? Cake Cutting Held At Country Club Last Friday night alter the Plonk Lackey rehearsal Miss Jette Plonk en tertained members of the wedding pariy the members of the Wo im mediate families, and a few ckxSe friends at at cake cutting at the Kings Mountain Country Club. Pink azaleas, glad? and candles were used in the Club reception rooms. . jT In the private dining room bridal colors of green and white were ef fectively used. The bride's table was graced with a cut work linen cloth, centered with a silver five- branched candelabra holding white tapers, on one end wds an anique china urn filled with a graceful arrangement, of snapdragons and fern. The bride's ; cake a beautiful creation in three' tiers tipped with a miniature bride and groom was placed on the other end symbols for the cake were spread under the cake these being tied with white satin ribbon and ex tending the length of the table. ' ' ' A large cut glass punch bowl was used on a side table* this was sur rounded with white snapdragons and greenery, from this punch was served by Miss Carlyle Ware and Mrs. J. C. Plonk; The firfct slice dt * cake was cut by the bride-elect, Mrs. , P. D. Patrick then cut and served the cake." ?
