port and passenger planes, provides
-air transport serving throughout Eu
erope and the Mediterranean area.
These twelve planes flew a totals

year,, putting in 8,279 hours of

m half pounds of mail and over a
*n\H\on pounds of cargo. A total of
?S.S79.123 passenger miles were

taineers against Cliffside at 3:30
o'clock in the City Stadium.
No practice games were listed and
no changes announced in the . re
maining scheduled loop games.
With the opening game only nine
practice days away, barring rain,
Coaches Evereue Carhon and Don
Parker have be^n hard at work with
the 25-odd slate of candidates. Nine
lettermen returned to the squad, in
cluding three righthanded pitchers,
Carl Moss, Don Ellison, and Jerry
Cloninger. Veterans are expected to
man every position except catcher
and third base on the 1949 team
