Chevrolet Mechanic Completes Bear Study Ernest Rogers, mechanic at Vic tory Chevrolet Company, recently completed a three-weeks course in j Boar front end machine and Bear! trame machining according to an nouncement by officials of the firm. Mr. Rogers returned last week from Rock Island, III., where he took additional work on the two machin es, which are used in aligning wheels of automobiles. The local firm Is equipped with B<^ar machines. "We take pleasure in announcing that Mr. Rogers has completed addi tional work on the Bear units. Car-Truck Collided On Saturday Night No one was seriously injured in a highway accident that occurred a round 11:30 p. m. Saturday night near Macedonia Baptist church on U. S. 29 south of Kings Mountain according to W. R. Wooten, state highway patrolman. Officer Wooten said a tractor - trailer, traveling north, was ram med near the center of the trailer on i the left side by a 1939 Chevrolet dri ven by Thomas Jennings, of Gaff ney, S. C. Neither vehicle overturn ed. Jennings suffered two broken ribs. The accident was apparently caus- 1 ed by blinding lights, the officer! said. Dallas Russell Carrier, of Bristol. G. Blantpn and E. W. Di\on of' the Cleveland County Wildlife club, who agreed that the club would pay half of the bounty. They pointed out that crows do a great amount of crop damage during the months of April and May by pulling up young corn and in other ways.
