May 20th Mrs. James Page will present her piano pupils of East and Wesi Went schools in Piano recitals at the respective schools, next week. The recital of East school will be in the auditorium on Tuesday even ing, May 17, at 7:30. On Friday ev ening, May 20, the recital at' West school will be given In t'he auditorl uiq of that school at 8 o'clock. The public 'is cordially invited. Sunbeam's Gave Program Sunday Sunbeam band of the First Baptist church gave a Mother's Day program in the adult department Sunday morning. The group sang "Jesus Loves Little Children of the World". Mother's Day scripture was read by Becky Th^rnburg. Barbara Pinnx told "How Jesus Helped. His Mother In The House." Memory verses of Scripture were given by Betty Sue Kirby and Kuth McCurdy. The group then sang <heir Sunbeam Song. Mrs. Harold Crawford, Mrs. BilT Simpson, Mrs. Rowell Lane and Mts. Convention Mrs. Sudie Pee'< and Mrs. Genelle Pittman attended the 14th Supreme Forest WOW Circle convention in ' Charlotte April 29 through May 1. j They represented the local grove i 146. Duplicate Bridge Club With Mrs. Blanton Amid a setting of roaej and other spring flowers three tables of bridge was in play Monday afternoon when Mrs. C; D. Cooper. 60th Birthday Noted By Otto Hehn Mrs. Otto Hehn entertained at a dinner Tuesday night honoring her husband on his 60th birthday anni versary. Mr. Hehn was born in Bucharest, Roumania. He came to the United States when he was fifteen and one half years old. He has been a resi dent of. Kings Mountain for the last eight years. Ham baked in an overcoat with ail accessories with ice cream and cake was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Elliott, Mr. and Mrs. Paxton Elliott, Mrs. Whitaker of Shelby, Rev. and Mrs. J. H.
