Note 13th Birthday j
The Blackwell twins, Dean and
C>on, celebrated their 13th birthday
^vtth a party at their home on Cleve
land avenue Tuesday afternoon.
The boys enjoyed a game of foot
ball after which they gathered In
living room to play BingO. Pri
se* were won by Bobbie Littlejohn,
Ofwkt Blanton, and Junior Short.
The gifts were opened Dean and
Don received many nice and useful
?ifts. Then they gathered around the
-dining room table on which was a
|?eautlful decorated cake with 13
-<candle9. Everyone sang "Happy
?Birthday" to the twins. The candles
*w?e blown out. Delicious refresh
ments were served consisting of:
birthday cake, potato chips, candy,
chewing gam and cooa-colas.

The Myrtle Derrick society of the
Lutheran church met with Mrs. Carl
Mauney Monday evening , at her
home at Lake Montonia.
Each member brought a covered
dish. A table was placed on the por
eh-and a very attractive, tasty and
bountiful dinner served buffet style.
A short business meeting was
held, routine business disposed of.
Twenty-five members were present.

very instructive program on "The

Twelve members of the W. M. S.
of the Second Baptist church met

evening with Mrs. Claud Hambigbt
at 8:00 o'clock in her home on West
Mountain street. Artistic arrange

pon-pon chrysanthemums graced
the Jiving room and den where ta
bles for bridge were arranged.
After four progressions of bridge,
Mrs. Carl Mauney was awarded high
score prize for visitors, Mrs. Moffatt
Ware received high score award for
club members, Mrs. H. C. Mayes the
consolation award.

ties with Weavely hash and other
