the Christmas holidays wKh a bo
nus for employees, Christmas parti
es for the employee^ children, and
also announced th* holiday sched

production employees of the various
units of Burlington MMls, a benefit
made possible again this year de

ket earlier in the year.
Employees will receive their De
cember pay and Christmas bonus
when their plant closes for the hol
idays.
Most of the Burlington plants
scheduled their Christmas plant
parties, a traditional event with
Burlington, for Sunday afternoon,
December 18, with gala programs
?which are always climaxed by San
<ta Claus presenting- treats to the em
ployees* .children. ?
The holiday schedule of the plants
varies according to manufacturing
divisions, depending upon 'business
conditions, supply of raw material
and other circumstances.
All of rhe plants will be standing
at least four days, with some divis
ions or units standing for a week or
.10 days.

o'clock at Mt Zion Baptist church
Rev. R. L. Garvin officiating. Mr.
Briggs died Saturday at his home in
Philadelphia. "He was a native of
Kings Mountain.
Those surviving are his parents,
