multiple bruises and abrasions
from a collision which took place
Sunday afternoon at the intersec
tion of St. Paul's Church road
near Casar. .
The car which, was driven by
T. H. Turner of Morganton, route
6. collided with a 1936 Chevrolet
driven by Virgil Maxwell Glover,
when Glover is said to have fail
ed to stop when driving into
Highway 10.
The two injured are patients in
Shelby hospital, where It is said
their condition was not serious.
State 4-H Club Week will be
held at State College, Raleigh,
July 21-26.

On July 7, Troop 2 held its
Scout Meeting. This week prelim
inary Court of Honor was held.
We had 7 boys going up for ad
vancement, and one boy going
up for the Eagle award. He Is
David Mauney.
The men who served on the
Board of Review were Mr. W. K.
Mauney, Mr. Ormnnd, Mr. J. Coo
per and Mr. Paul Brigg.
We will have a swimming trip
next Monday at 4 o'clock.
