Hemdon, Editor Miss Peggy Mauney Gives Pretty Coca Cola Party Miss Peggy Mauney entertain ed at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Mauney on Wednesday morning with a de lightful informal cola party as a special courtesy to three brides elect: Miss Patty Noisier, Miss Betty Falls, Miss Peggy Arthur and Mrs. Bill Klein, a bride, and new comer to Kings Mountain. The party rooms were charm ingly arranged throughout with Bummer flowers including a pre dominance of roses. Guests were welcomed at the door by Mrs. B. N. Barnes. Miss Mailney Introduced them to her honorees; In the sun porch Mrs. George ToUison and Miss Shirley Houser served colas from an attractive wheelbarrow. Refreshments were served from a two tleried glass table, the fruit arrangement with ivy entwined around the table made a pretty picture for the lower tier. A lazy Susan with as sorted sandwiches, and a crystal tree holding olives and pickles with ivy decora t ion was used on the top tier. Napkins with an ivy and pine cone. design carried out the greeli and white motif. Among the eyecatchers in the sun room were the lilies floating around on the pool and a large purple and white str?->w garden hat filled with Queen Ann's Lace and purple zinnias used tin the cobbler's bench arid a large an tique -cart hern ware jug filled with sun flowers by the fireplace. Had Coverad Dish Supper Members of the Woman's Mis sionary Society of Macedonia Baptist' church had a covered dish supper Monday night on the iback lawn' of the home of Mrs. J . J. Jenkins. Falls Has Birthday Party Patricia Evonae Falls, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Doytt Falls, was six years old on Sunday, July 6, and celebrated her anni versary with a party on Saturday afternoon given by her mother. The party was held on the lawn of the home where the children enjoyed playing a number of games. A birthday cake, decorated in red, white and blue topped with an American flag, proclaimed the holiday season. Presbyterian Circle Met In Blanton Home Members of Circle No. 3 of the Presbyterian Church held their monthly meeting Monday night with Mrs. Don Blanton. Mrs. Frank Hoyle, circle chair man opened the meeting with the group praying the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. P. D. Patrick brought a very inspiring Bible lesson from the book of Galatl ans, "Has Your Life Really Been Changed" closing the study with prayer. Mrs. P. D. Herndon read an article by Dr. Norman Peale on, "Those who trespass against us". . Nine members responded to roll call. The circle was delighted to have Mrs. R. H. Webb, presi dent of the Women of the church as a guest.
