The Young Mothers Class of
the Church Of God met Monday
night at the home of Mr$. Calvin
Hughes on the Bessemer City
Highway.
The meeting was called to or
der by Mrs. G- C. Looney, the
teacher. Mrs. Glenn Eason >lcd
the opening prayer.
During the business the follow
ing officers were elected for the
year: president, Mrs. Geriell Pitt
man; vice-president, Mrs. Essie
Jackson; secretary, Mrs. Thelma
Blanton.
After the business a social hour
was enjoyed, games were played,
Mrs. Genell Pittman winning the
prize.

Presbyterian Youth
Attending Weeks Camp
The following young people
from the pioneer group of the
Presbyterian church left Monday
for the Presbyterian Camp near
Saluda, Diane Cansler, Giles
Cornwell, Michael Houser, Jerry
McCarter, Vicky Smith and De
rice Weir, also Kish Hambright
and Carveth Wells of the Dixon
Church.
The group were accompanied
by Miss Cornelia Dick, Director
of Religious Education of the
church. They will return Satur
day. .
Vacation Bible School
Begins Monday, July 2 I
Daily Vacation. Bible school of
the First Presbyterian Church
will begin Monday, July 21 and
continue through August 1.
The hours will be from 9 until
11:30. Bill Klein will be superin
tendent of the school.

charge of the Beginners, Mrs.
Bill Klein the Primary, Miss Cor
nelia Dick the Juniors, Bill Klein
