Mrs. George Womack of Sav vannah, Ga. spent several days last week in Kings Mountain with relatives and friends. ~ Mr. M. L. Bell of Mount Holly, N. C. visited with his daughters, Mrs. George T. Stewart and Mrs. George W. Sellers Sunday. Earl Myers of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend with hi* parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. My ers. Mr. and Mrs. Baxter Payseur spent last weekend at White Lake, N. C. with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daughterly and Fred Dau ghterly, Jr., of St. Pauls, N. C. Mrs. Floyd Payne, Miss Daisy Payne, and Tommy Payne return ed last week from a visit in Du bach, La., with Mrs. Hudson . Avery. ' Mrs. Buford Guy and daughter. Miss Margaret Guy of Salisbury, were guests during the weekend of Mrs. Guy's sister, Mrs. Carl Mauney. Mrs. Oveda Blanton and chil dren and Mrs. Beulah Whitstine and family of Gastonia were spend-the-day guests of the G. T. Stewarts Sunday. Mrs. Henderson Herndon re turned Thursday from the Memo rial -hospital in Charlotte where she underwent an operation. She is recuperating nicely at her home here. Mr. and Mrs. Wlillam Arga bright of Orange, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Thomson and niece of Washington, D. C. visited Cllne Barber and Mrs. C?thrine "Spear man over the weekend. Henry Neisler of Camp Pickett, Va. spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Neis ler. He was accompanied home by his wife who had spent the past week here. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gantt and daughter, Cornelia spent the week end in Washington, D. C. visiting Mrs. Gantt's sister, Mrs. Claude Barnett and Mrs. Barnett. The Barnett's little daughter, Cloudia, returned here for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Bumgard ner and daughters, Sandra, Wan da, and Beverly will 'eave soon for Kentucky where Mr. Bum Gardner is a ministerial student. They spent the summer here with Mrs. Bumgardner's parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Chllders. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Yarbrough were Mr. and Mrs, William Argabright of Orange, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Jes ae Thomson and niece of Wash ington, Mrs. Cathrlne Spearman and Ava Jo and Cllne Barber. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Ward and little Sara Frances Mauney at tended the banquet given for the girls at Camp Montreat last Sat urday. Mrs. Ward and Miss Mau ney visited with Halile Ward urn til Wednesday when they return ed home. Hallie spent a month at Camp Montreat.
