Foi Unpaid 1952 County Taxes
As required by law, I, as Tax Collector of Cleveland
County, will sell at the Courthouse Door in Shelby, North
Carolina, on
Monday. September 7th, 1953, at 12 O'Clock Noon,
for unpaid 1952 taxes due the County of Cleveland, the fol
lowing described real estate shown by name of owner, and
the township in which it is located. The land described in
each case is land owned by delinquent tax payer as shown
on the tax return or list.
There will be added in each case the amount of cost,
penalty, and interest to the taxes. This sale may be contin
ued from day to day, at such times as may be provided by
law, in the event such sale Is not had or completed on the
above date specified.

The Arctic Resupply Group,
under the command of Navy

Service Squadron Four, replen
ishes all accessible Joint Cana
dian - U. S. weather stations in
the Arctic each summer. Unload
ing operations lasted about a
week. Supplies for the U. S. Wear
ther Bureau, the Royal Canadian
Air Force Base, the Canadian
Meteorollglcal Service, the Cana
dian Ionosphere Station, and the
Joint Canadian - U. S. weather
station at Isachoen and Mould
Bay were cached for the winter.
WEEK END PASS
Jerry Cloninger, USAF, and Bill
Cloninger, USN, spent the week
end with their parents, Mr. and
?Mrs. John Cloninger.
They reported to their respec
tive (bases on Monday. Airman
Cloninger is stationed with the
Air Force at Dalavasta, Ga.? and
Seaman Cloninger Is stationed at
the Charleston Naval Base.
ON LEAVE
Sgt. Jack Chaney, stationed
with the Armed Forces at Fort
Bragg, is spending a leave here
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
R. L. Chaney, and his wife, the
former Miss Helen Weaver.
He Is to report "back to the Fort
Bragg camp at the completion of
his 10-day leave. He is attached
to the 868th Field Battalion. >
