Guests were greeted at the 'front entrance of Kings Moun rtain Woman's cl-.h by Mr. and ' Mrs. Jack II. White and present ed to the receiving line composed of the couple, their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph P. Keeney, Sr., of Myerstown, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Dan S. Huffstetler, members xif the wedding party, the host couple, and out-of-town guests. A three-tiered white and grefcn wedding cake topped with minia ture bride and groom figurines was placed at the sUi of the re freshment fable, which was over laid with a white cutwork lace cloth. An all-white arrangement of Carzer chrysanthemums flanked by two silver candleabrum hold ing white lighted tapers decorat ed the center of the table, and bowls of chrysanthemums, pom pons, and snapdragons formed a centerpiece on the mantel of the club lounge. After the couple had cut the first piece of wadding cake, Mrs. Joe R. Hendrick ciit and served the cake. Mrs. A. A. Lackey, Jr., and Miss Mary Anne Beam pre^ sided at the punch bowl. Mint candies, decorated party sandwiches, and salted nuts In sliver compotes were set on the punch bowl table. Bridesmaid at tendants in the wedding assisted In serving refreshments. White met guests at the dining room door and directed them tq the refresh ment tablte. A single arrangement of white snapdragons, white carnations, and Garza chrysanthemums en circled at the middle-base by yel low bud-roses and bells-of-Ireland in a low-bowl container centered the refreshment table, which was 'overlaid with a white linen cloth fj'fv Wv ^ of cutwork embroidery. Yellow matching candles In three ? branched -candelabra flanked each aide of the flower bowl at one end and at the cen ter of the table. A silver tea service' graced the extreme end of the table where Mrs. C. F. Thomasson pourfed tea. Silver trays holding puffed shells of chicken salad, cheese blankets, rum balls, petlte-fleurs, candy compotes, and individual iced cup cakes decorated in red had beten placed on the refreshrrent table, and cookies, nuts and other can dies were set at separate points on the cloth and on separate buffets in the dining hall. Two five-branched candelabra um holding white and yellow lighted tapers were used on eith er end of the buffet centered by a massive arrangement of assort ed vari-colored chrysanthemums and carnations sprayed with'ivy and fern. Mrs. C. T. Carpenter, Jr., Mrs. John Oates Plonk, Jr., Mrs. Wil liam Herndon, Mrs. William Leigh of Gastonia, and Miss Eli zabeth Anthony assisted in serv ing refreshments. Mrs. Giaude Hambrlght met guests at the back hall stairway, which led to the den, and present ed them to Mrs. John C. Smathers who directed callers from the hallway to the den, wherte Mrs. W. K. Mauney, Sr., Mrs. M. A. Ware. Sr., and Mrs. P. D. Patrick received and presided at the guest register placed on a side table. Mrs. E. W, Griffin, Sr. said good-byes. A single arrangement of nan dina berries and bronze chrysan themums in a copper container had been placed on tables in the den, and two brown . green glass cornucopias of fruits and dried arrangements decorated the den mantel-board. Mrs. N. F. McGlll furnished musical selections on the piano during the afternoon. Guests from Kings Mountain, Shelby, Gastonia, and surround ing areas called between the hours of 3:30 and 5:30 o'clock. Mr, a#d Mrs. E. L.
