Central Methodist CHURCH NEWS By Mrs. Baxter Paywur Sermon topic for Sunday morn ing is, "The Four Dimensions of Love." .Sunday is also being ob served as Universal Bible Sun day. On Wednesday, Dec. 16, the Children's Christmas Program will be presented at 7:30 p. m. Sermon topic Sunday, Dec. 20 Is "Jesus of Nazareth". At 4 p. m., Dec. 20, a Christmas Cantata, 'The Story of Christ mas", by Matthews will be pre sented by the choir, directed by Miss Bonnie Mcintosh. The Church nursery Is cared for this month by Circle No. 6. Ushers for December are v'vil j?on Griffin, head usher; C. J. Cault, Jr., John J'lonk, L. Mc Daniel, W. It. Hudspeth, C. T. Carpenter, Jr., and Dwight Alex ander. The M. Y. F. is practicing a play, "A Stranger in Bethlehem", to be presented soon. On Monday evening a meeting of the Official Board was held. Flowers in the sanctuary are provided this month by Circle No. 4. Sunday w^s observed as Com mitment Day. Each person Was invited to commit themselves to abstinance from alcohol. The Senior M, Y. F. put on a spaghetti supper Thursday night, assisted by Mrs. Bun Goforth and Mrs. Boyer Murray. The young people sold tickets, bought tickets themselves, donated food, served, and washed dishes, real!-' zing a su.'iicifant profit for spon sorirg i 1-year old boy at the Children's Home another year. They are to bring gifts of toys to Sunday School to be sent to this little boy for Christmas, also bringing canned goods for the needy at Christmas time.
