Mrs. Monte Wal es of Gastonla has signed a con tract with the Continental Book Company of Columbus, Ga., to reprint Lyman C. Draper's his torical book, "Kings Mountain and Its Heroes." Draper's book has been out of print for many years, and should be a fast-seller in this section when the first copies come off the press in about three months. Draper's was first published in 1831 by Thompson 6 Co., in Cin cinnati Three thousand copies were printed, but when only balf of them had been distributed the printing plant was destroyed by fire. All unsold copies, plates, copy and proofs were lost. The book later was reprinted in 1930, but only a limited num-. ber were available and the price was high. At one time, the book wasvselling for as high as $50 a copy. Draper's is considered the most, accurate account ever written of the Battle of Kings Mountain. Rev. J. J. Thorriburg, the pas tor, officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. The <ihild died last Wednes day morning at 6:30 a. m. at Kings Mountain hospital.
