Thte "Bobcat*" won their first,
home game here Saturday night
defeating Cliffslde Y. M. C. A.
58 to 55.
Behind at the end of the first
quarter 21-11, the " 'Cats" started
hitting and at the end of the first
half trailed by only 5 points. Dur
ing the third quarter and half of
thJe fourth quarter the lead chang
ed hands 9 times. Gene Stone was
fouled and made one shot to put
Kings Mountain ahead 56-55 and
the ,trCats" started freezing the
ball. Robert Neill took a pass |
from Moffatt Ware for an easy
lay-up ending the gamte.
It was a rough, hard fought
game and officials Bruce Thor
burn and Joe Hendrick did a fine
job. A disappointing crowd of
only about 50 persons witnessed
the game and In the event that
no more Interest Is shown for the
department's mens teams games
all games will be played away.
