WABUCK Insurance Agency il l_ Progress is being made In the Held of guidance In the high school. When students become juniors and seniors, they receive aid in choosing a vocation that they are best suited for. The pre sent senior class was given a se ries ol tests when they were Ju niors to help determine many things that they needed to know about their personalities and vo cational preferences. The tests consisted of a mental ability test, preference record test for voca tional purposes, and an adjust ment inventory test to see how well the student is adjusted at home, in health, and in social and emotional situations. The results of these tests are very helpful to the students themselves, the tea chers, arid to potential future em ployers. A representative of the State Employment Commission each year gives seniors an aptitude test to enable each Individual to see what field of work he is best suited for. Part of this test is a finger dexterity test while other parts of the teat bring out likes and dislikes, certain abilities and skills. As more progress Is made in education, guidance will become an Important part of the high school curriculum. Many schools have already employed a regular guidance counselor. Perhaps the near future will bring such an addition to the faculty of our own school. We have studied the phases of dental health. We all have draw ings of our own teeth and the cavities and fillings are also shown on these drawings. When, we visit the dentist he writes a note to Miss Black, our very able biology rt?am?r; telling her what he has done. We all ap preciate the cooperation of the dentists.
