Melton Facing Morals Charge J. W. Melton was bound over to Superior court Tuesday morn ing on the charge of crime again st nature after probable, cause was found by Judge Jack White in City Rtecorder's court. Bond for Melton was set at $1,500. '? .On a second count, assault on a female. Judge White found Mel ton guilty and sentenced him to 60 days on the roads. Melton ap pealed this sentence to Superior court, and bond was set at S500. Melton had not made bond Wed nesday morning. Girl Scout News Brownie Troop 32 of the Pre*' byterlan church held its regular meeting F<*brjiary 18. All mem bers and leaders were present. Since it was such a pretty aft ernoon Mrs. Page invjted us to play on her lawn. Some' of the Brownies played on the merry go-round; some played on the swing; some played on the see saw; some played in the play house'; and some played basket ball. The Womfen's Home Demonstration club of El-Bethel which was scheduled to meet last Friday was postponed until March 3rd at 2:00 p. m. At this time It will meet at the home of Mrs. Claude Harmon. The De monstration will be on making drapes. The meeting was post poned because of the March meeting of th.- training school held last Friday in the kitchen of the agriculture building in Shelby by Miss Massaleine Whisnant, state borne management leader of Raleigh. Mrs. F. F. Herndon and Mrs. L F. Gamble uttenued from El-Bethel and will repeat the de monstration in March. Tuesday morning the. 1st grade through the 8th gradte had the privilege of attending the sym phony orchestra program held in the Shelby armory. They went by bus to Shelby. A revival meeting will begin at El-Bethel Methodist church on March 10th and contlnufe through the 20th. Rev. Frank will assist the pastor. Rev. Boyce Huffstet. ler.
