Brackfett scored a 359 to win
individual match high set honprs
and a 105.2 average line for top
honors In both departments.
Paul Ware won high line hon
ors with a 145.
The Alley Cats finished on top
with a record of 25 wins in 30
starts and the Mountaineers took j
second place with a 13-17 record.
The Independents and the Luc
kies finished with 11-19 records
to tie for' third place but the Luc
kies won a play off game 521 to i
471 to take third place.

The playoff was necessitated
by an Independent victory over
the Mountaineers Monday night
and a loss by the Luckies to the
front - running 'Cata.
Hill Carpenter led the way for
the Independents with a 323 set
as his club posted a 1451-1438 vic
tory Monday. Tom Gamble of the
losers had the high set in the
match, a 325. Fred Wright, Jr., j
hit 320 for the Mountaineers and
Carpenter's 122 was good ' for
high line.
In the other match, Jim Ham
rick and Boyd Howell both rolled
ihigh totals as the Alley Cats fin
1 ished the season with a 1588-1491
win over the' Luckies. Hamrlck
hit a 350 set and Howell scored
311. W. D. Morrison tallied a 316
and Ralph Arrowood a 311 to Win
without Paul Ware, who got the
270 score for players unable to
roll In a match.
Jim Everhart hit 339 to take
high honors for the losers and
Ciavon Kelly had a 316.
Howell's 141 was good for high
lino in the match And Ilamrick's
350 took set honors.

the Kings Mountain attack, which
netted six hits off the Shelby left
hander, McCarver struck out 10
and walked one.
