She gavte cooking suggestions for preparing time-saving recipes, summer salads and foods, out door meals, breakfasts, and point ed out other suggestions for freshening up old menus. Mrs. Jocob Cooper, club presi dent, conducted the business sts slon. She announced the date of the state garden club convention to be held at Groves Park Inn in Asheville May 18-20. Members of the Housfe and Garden club are to serve punch, the president an nounced, at the Jacob S. Mauney Memorial Library open-house on April 22. The elub voted to contribute $10 to the Library fund for books. Arrangements were brought by Mrs. Paul Nteisler and Mrs. Hay ne Blackmer. First Baptist YWA * Held Meeting Thursday Members o f the Young Wo man's Auxiliary ot First Baptist church met at the church last Thursday for their regular meet ing. Miss Norma Lete Sipes, presi dent, called the meeting to order and presided over the business session. Miss Lyna Baker led the opening prayer. The Community Missions project for thfe month was discussed. To open the program, the group sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "When I Survey the Won drous Cross." Miss Melba Tindall was program chairman for the meeting < and she presented De mauth Blanton, ministerial stu dtent, who spoke on "The Lord's Supper." Mrs. J. W. Watson, leader of the group, closed the meeting with prayer. Miss Carletty Mc Daniel was a visitor at the meet ing. A social hour was enjoyed fol lowing the meeting. Hostesses were Misses Martha and Lyna Baker. Winsome Bible Class Enjoyed Social Monday Members of the Winsome Bible class of First Baptist church en Joyed a social at Lake Crawford Monday evening. It was the regu lar monthly meeting date of the class. About 25 members of the class atended the hot-dog supper, which was served at the lake. Mrs. Ed Early is president of the Sunday school class. The morning egg hunt was for | children who will enter the first grades of local schools next year. The afternoon hunt was for pu pils in the first, second, third, and fourth grades. Mrs. Henry Neisler and Mrs. W. L Ramseur were in charge of arrangements for the egg hunts. The bride and bridegroom were accompanied to Gaffney by Miss Mary Ruth Fle ming, Miss Joyce Fleming, C. J. Bradley, Miss Evelyn Dobbins, and Bill Barber. Alter the cerfemony, the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Rein hardt entertained at their home at a cake cutting. Only members of the immediate families and a few close friends of thte couple attended. The refreshment table, which was covered with a party cloth, was centered by a wedding cake and punch with cake and other re freshments were served. Mrs. Sutton is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Reinhardt of Kings Mountain. Airman Sutton Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Sutton of Georgia. He is now ser ving with the Air Force, stationed at Donaldson Air Force Base, Greenville, S.
