annual spring. handicap tmrney which was com
pleted on May 16. Trophies were oresented at a
golfers banquet last Wednesday at the club. Pic

4ic adaptation of her novel, 'The
Sword of Gideon." ?
Tliis yedr mart<s the fourth
consecutive performance for the
Kings Mountain outdoor drama,
begun in 1951 to commemorate
the historic Revolutionary War
gattle of Kings Mountain.
Members of the Little Thearte,
sponsor of the drama, and Bill
Trotman, director, have joined
with Mrs. iienri to polish up the
drama, with a large part of the
script having been rewritten and
tremendous scenery and general
technical advances planned.

run through August 14 on Thur
sday, Friday and Saturday

celebrate his 60th birthday an

The mayor has scheduled a
barbecue dinner at Bridges Air
port for 12:30 p. m. Sijnday and
has invited many of his friends
to help celebrate the occasion
nights of each week.
Mrs. Henri will return to In
spect this year's production for
the necessary annual chore of
rewriting for next year's show.
