eight o'clock p. m. in the First
Baptist church of Daytona Beach,
Florida. The double ring cere
mony was performed by the Rev.
K. H. Hawkins.
Wedding music was furnished
by Mrs. Ramon Owens, organist,
and the First Baptist church
choir.
The bride and groom enterted
the church together. The bride
wore a white princess street-leng
th dress of embossed cotton with
a fagoting swebtheart neckline
and capped sleeves. Her cameo
earrings were a gift of the bride
groom. She carried a cascade bou
quet of white- and tube roses, U
ltes of the valley, and stephano
tls tied with white satin ribbon.
Mrs. Jack Roberson, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor.
?" Jack Roberson served as best
man.
Immediately following the
ceremony, the couple left for a
short wedding trip through Flori
da, aftter which they will be at
home in Kings Mountain.
Mrs. Farrlngton attended Appa
lachian State Teachers College
and during the past year taught
in the Harris Elementary School
of Spruce Pine.
Mr. Farrlngton Is a graduate
of the University of North Caro
f Una, and is a iriembter of Chi Psl
fraternity. He is now employed
as advertising representative with
Southern Bell Telephone and
Telegraph Co.

At Meeting On Wednesday
Two groups of Intermediate
and Junior GA's were organized
at a meeting of the WMU of Faith
Baptist church at the home' of
Mrs. W. F. Fleming last Wednes
day night.
Mrs. Emma Barnett offered the
opening prayer, and Mrs. Ossie
Blanton read the scripture.
WMU members on the program

discussed the topic, "Seed to
Sow", Mrs. Barnett who discuss

According to the report, the
Chevrolet driven by Joseph C.
Green. Box 116, Alexander Sub.
Station, Forest City and the Foid
operated by Haze1 Washington,
Box 575, were stopped for the
signal light and collided as both
cars attempted to make right
turns oh pulling away from the
signal light. Property damages
were estimated to total $175.
No personal injuries were re
ported in an -automobile accident
occurring at the corner of Walk
er and Gantt street, around 11:55
p. m. Friday. According to the re
port a 1952 Pontfac driven by
Lynn OTuel, of Second street,
had the right-of-way going .east
on Walker street, and struck a
1948 Mercury Convertible Coupe
driven by Lloyd Newton Blan
ton, of route 1, when the Mer
cury failed to yield the right-of
way on entering Walker street.
The Mercury was traveling south
