Mrs. George Montgomery, age 82, died Thursday, July 15. He was buried Monday at 3 o'clock. Ht was a member of St. Peter's Baptist church and of th<^ Maso nic Order for 30 years, and was also an Odd Fellow. He is sur vived by a wife, Mrs. Effie Mont gomery, five children, 25 grand children and 4 great-grandchil dren. Funeral .services were held for Mrs. Willie Mae Williams Wed nfesday at 2 o'clock. During the thunder storm last week, lightening struck the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar White. Tho lightening, caused a fire which was put out before too much da mage was done. Mrs. J. M. Barber, who spent a week here last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Barber, has gone hack to Spartanburg. Bob Huskey, student at Ra leigh, spent a few days here last week with relatives and friends. Mrs. Sudie Ware was the week end guest of her sister, Mrs. Frank Goforth. School will open for the sum mer term here at Bethware Thursday. July 22. It will run for two months.
