ciety of Christian Service of the
Methodist church. Mrs. Craig con
ducted the devotional, and Mrs.

Temple Baptist church met Mon
day night at 7:30 at the home of
Miss Bonnie Kennedy on Land
ing street. Ten mtembers attended
the meeting.
Mrs. Paul Ledford ' conducted
the devotional and presided over
the business session. The program
was given by Mrs. Ruby Barnettte.
Refreshments were served dur
ing the social hour. The circle
meets in November with Mrs. W.

decorated with arrangements of
mixed flowers.
ARP Bible Class
Held Picnic Supper
The Neil Balrd Bible class of
Boyce Memorial ARP church had
a hamburger supper at Lake
Montonla Tuesday night.
Hamburger with all the trim
mings was enjoyed by a large
number of members of the class.
The arrangement committee
consisted of Garrison Goforth,
Mrs. John Cheshire, and Miss
Mary Boyce McGlll. After an
hour of fellowship, the group re
turned to their respective homes.

ed the low waist line. Full Vic
torian sleeves tapered to fit close
ly beginning at thte eloows and
ending in caps over the hands.
Her double-tiered fingertip veil
of French illusion was draped
from a lace cloche outlined in
lace medallions and seed plearls,
and she carried a white Bible
topped with a white orchid show
ered with satin streamers tied In
love knots.
Mrs. Bill Bell of Kings Moun
tain was the bride's matron of
honor, and Miss Gteraldine Bar
nett, of Charlotte, was maid of
honor. They wore gowns of gold
velvet and net over taffeta with
matching velvet clochcs. Each
carried a nosegay of purple asters
tied with purple satin ribbon.

wore a single strand of pearls, 1

Elainfe Dixon, niece of the
groom, was flower girl. She wore
a dress of gold Jaffeta worn with
matching cloche and carried a
bouquet of purple asters.
