Aided by a Dallas crave to pass while deep in their own territory which netted the Mountalneera six pass interceptions, Kings Mountain completely dominated the contest. Halfback Earl Mar lowe dived over from the one af ter Kings Mountain moved to the 9 for a 1st and 10 and a Dal las penalty put the ball 36 Inches from the goal line. Cook again connected, moving the score to 26-0. Late in the third chapter, Smith intercepted a Dallas pass and ran it back 10 yards to the losers' 15 and two plays later shot over the goal from 10 yards for his 66th point of the season. Cook's placement /ailed. Coach Shu Carlton's reserves played most of the remaining time in the game and turned in the final tally. End J. L. In scoring six touchdowns In the game, Kings Mountain ran its point total for the Season to 214, an average of nearly 27 points per-game. The Mountain, eers have scored 32 touchdowns and have been successful on 22 of 32 extra point tries. Co-Captain Smith leads the point parade with 66 points on 11 touchdowns. Halfback Mar lowe has seven for 42 points, arid Fullback Valentine has six for 36 points. Coach Shu Carlton's eleven will take a 7-1 season record in to the battle and a Mountaineer win would assure Kings Moun tain of a slice of the South Group, Western AA Conference crown and put thfe club in position to walk off with the bunting next week at Belmont. A Shelby win coupled with a Forest City verdict over Selmont at Forest City Friday night would send the Lions into first place where they could back in to the title or toe Joined on No vember 12 by three other teams in a 4-way finish. Grantham, of Victory Chevrolet Co., has returned from Charlotte where he took part in a meeting of the Chevrolet Deal er, Planning Committee for the zone. ? ? - Mr. Grantham was elected to the committee by fellow dealers under a nationwide program toy which Chevrolet keeps in touch with retail selling problems. In his position he acted as spokes man for other Chevrolet dealers In the area. The dealer committee system was pioneered in 1937 toy Chev rolet and serves as a means by which dealers and the company exchange views on industry de velopments and discuss mutual problems.
