Seventeen members attended. After a devotional by Mrs. Grady Ytelton, the business ses sion was conducted by the presi dent, Mrs. Frances Hord Petty. Mrs. Bonnie Payne conducted several games during the social hour. The hostess, served cake and coffete. Miss Nan Jean Gantt Addresses Church Class Miss Nan Jean Gantt, of Ashe viUe, was guest speaker to the Daughters of W#*ley class a? the Men's Bible claws at the regular morning Sunday School hour at Central Mtethodlst church last Sunday morning. Mrs. Carpenter Hostess To Friday Bridge Club Friday Afternoon Bridge club members met last week at the home of Mrs. C. T. Carpenter, Jr. Invited to play with the regu lar club members were Mrs. Fred Withers, Mrs. l>an Finger, Mrs. John Cheshire, Mrs. Vernon Crosby, and Mrs. Earl Byrd. Bridge prizes went to Mrs. Bruce McDaniel, who scored high and to Mrs. Byrd, who scored se cond-high. Betwteen progressions, the hos tess served a sandwich plate with cold drinks. Park Grace School P-TA Held Meeting On Monday Regular monthly meeting of the Park Grace, school Parent Teacher Association was held Monday night In the school audi torium. Mrs. J. W. Watson, program chairman, had charge of the Thanksgiving program after an opening dtevotional by Mrs. T. A. Lineberger. Miss Melba Tindall sang two musical selections, ac companied at the piano by Mrs. F. R. McCurdy. J. R. Champion, the president, conducted the business meeting. Mrs. Pauline Weaver's class won the attendance prize. Duplicate Bridge Club Held Meeting Monday Duplicate Bridge club members met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. D. M. Peeler. Guests werte present for two tables. Prior to progressions, the hostess served a dessert plate with coffee. Mrs. Jacob Cooper won the bridge prize. Arrangements of chrysanthemums were used for decoration. Regular Club Night To Be Held Saturday Regular club night at Kings Mountain Country club will be held Saturday, December 4th, at the Country club, according to announcement made by the social committee. Buffet supper will be served at 7 o'clock. Reservations are re quested by noon Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. F. R. McCurdy and family visited Mrs. McCur dy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Mrs. Kenneth Pruitt and daugh ter, Connie, of Harlingen, Texas, who came to Kings Mountain No vember 21st to be with Mrs. Pruitt's father during his illness and death, will stay with Mrs. Pruitt's mother, Mrs. R. W. Miller until March when S/Sgt. Pruitt will receivb his discharge from the Air Force. Mr. Miller, who will complete four years of ser vice in March, has been in charge of the Air Force postoffice at Harlingen, Texas, for the past thrtee years.
