Police Schedule Turkey Shoot Kings -Mountain Police have Si hi'duled their second turkey slioot of the year to be held S.at- urday at the Police Club on the York Road. The shoot will begin at eight o’clock .Satuiday morning and throughout the day. Guns and ammunition will be furnished and cold drinks and sandwiches will also be available. Four Playgrounds To Be Completed Tliree plots of ground have been donated to the Kings Moun tain Recreation Department for pla.vgrounds, it was announced ye.sletday by Little League Base ball Commissioner Roy Pearson. Tlve fields will serve as all purpose courts with basketball, Iwdminton, volley ball and other games being available. All fields should be completed by .March, Pearson said. The playgrounds are located in all sections of the city. Otis D. Greene Post l.o.o of the American Legion has already tarred and graveled a playground at the front of the Iwgion Building and, according to Pearson, it should lx‘ completed by the end of ne.\t week. Another field, located in liie Crescent Hill Community, is l>e- iiig given by Fred Plonti and still another is being donatiid by Burlington Mitts. A fourth play ground, near North School, is being plflimml. Tlie playgrounds will he for use of girls as well as boys, Mr. Pearson announced.
