George Plonk showed colored slides of her recent trip to Italy, Egj'pt and the Holy Land at Tuesday night’s Home Arts club meeting at toe home of Mrs. Tolly Shuford. Mrs. George Moss was pro gram chairman. The hostess served a salad and dessert course with,_ice^tea. Mrs. Plonk noted that she and her husband. Dr. Plonk, visited in Egypt with former Kings Mountain residents, Mr 2md Mrs. J^ck Barham. Mrs. Plonk also gave historical data of the various points of in terest on her tour of the I^ear East. Masters Scott and Jeff Moss visited their aunts^ Mrs. E. G. Harrison III and Miss Dorothy S. Hayes in Charleston, South Carolina recently. Mrs. Harrison is the former JoAnn Hayes of Kings Mountain. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moss and Mrs. O. T. Hayes, Sr. later made ‘the trip to Charleston to accompany their sons'back to Kings Mountain. A birthday party at Shoneys for Allen Kyle Tate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Tate. Allen and his friends were accompanied by Mr and Mrs. Tate and Judy Heimdon for birthday supper. The waitress entered the room with the decorated birthday cake which was served with ice ci-eam. Comic books were given as fav ors. Miss Gale Loretta Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr. of Bessemer City, has announced plans for her marri age to Ronald Meek Dover, Unit ed States Marine Corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Dover of Kings Mountain. The w'cdding will take place Sunday at 12 noon in Bessemer City’s First Baptist church. Rev. A. A. Bailey, pastor of the church, will officiate at the dou ble-ring ceremony.
