A picnic and "Hot Dog” supper lor all will be held. Bible school will begin Monday, June 3, through June 7 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Bible school will bt‘ Monday morning, June 3 at 9:30 classes are provided for kindergarten through pioneer, at the Shiloh Presbyterian church. Rev. H. Stewart White, Jr., will attend the Synod of North Carolina June 3-4 at St. Andrews Presbyterian c-ollcge. C. Mrs. Otis Doolittle in Clearwater and in Aiken, S. C., with Mr. and Mrs. James Crawford. .Mrs. Gene Cornett and children of Columbus, Ohio spent the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Davis. Her sister, .Mrs. Jerry Lee and children of Charlotte visited with them while they were here. Mr. and Mrs. Willis J. Hidell of York, Pa., visited Mr. and Mrs. David Harry during last week end Mrs. Hidell remained for a longer visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Gresh of Miami, Florida arrived Saturday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Q. Hope. Dr. and Mrs. Charles Moore and children left Sunday for a visit with his parents in Houston, Texas, going especially to attend the wedding of his brother. Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Francits and Debbie Francis, Susan Ballew and Meredith McGil] spent the weekend at Lake Norman Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Fain Ham- bright and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Francis at their cottage at Lake Norman. Mr. and .Mrs. Charlie Harry, Robin and Scott spent the week end with relatives in Chapel Hill. Mr. H. K. Hammett is a patient at the Memorial hospital in Char lotte, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Bums of Riehburg, S. C. and former tea cher of Antioch school were .Sun day guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Hambright. Mr. and Mrs. Holmes Harry and Robert, Allen Hambright, Phillip Francis and Ross Sprin ger spent the weekend at Myrtle! Beach. | Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Ponder were L. P. Ponder and E. M. Ponder and Melbura Ponder of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Hayse Ledford and son, Reggie of Asheville and Mrs. Helchel Allen of Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Helchel Allen re mained for a longer visit. They came especially to attend the funeral of Mrs. Ada Ponder. Teresa Mullinax daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Mullinax and Tommy Appling daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Appling participated in the program at the Kiwanis Club meeting at Kings Mountain Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gene Moss took their small son, Randy to Charlotte Memorial hospital last Saturday after he fell from a sliding board and broke his leg. Randy is at home now. The Morning and Afternoon Circles Number 1 and Number 2 met with Mrs. Holmes Harry at their cottage at Lake Wylie last Tuesday. The program was given by Mr. Roy Houser. Mrs. P. A. Francis and Mrs. Francis Bar rier, Mrs. Roy Houser presided over the meeting. The all day meeting featured a picnic din ner. The members surprised Mrs. Roy Houser with a birthday cake and a shower of gifts. Boat rid ing was enjoyed in the afternoon. Approximately 20 attended. Mrs. Francis Barrier of High Point is visiting -Mr. and Mrs. David Harry and relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Houser of Gastonia were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Houser. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Craig of Cramerton enroute to Easley, S. C. stopped over Friday and took Mrs. M. C. Hardin with them to visit Rev. and Mrs. J. e. Craig and daughters.
