Mrs. Poncter died Wednesday night in an Asheville nursing home after illness of .several years. She was a native of Union, South Carolina, widow of Jolin C. Ponder. Rev. James Sanders and Rev. E. S. Elliott officiated at the final rites. Mrs. Ponder was a former resident Shelby. Surviving are tour sons, R. H. Ponder and J. M. Ponder, both of Grover. L. P. Ponder and E. M.
