Cars operated by Bertha Mar- Ici.v Myers, route 1 Shelby, and Joyce Proctor Hope, of route two, collided Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of King and Wat- terson streets. Patrolman James AT Belt reported that the Myers car went through the intersection and was hit in the side by the Hope vehicle. Damages were es timated at $300 to each car. Patrolman Tommy King report ed that ca-rs operated by Dorthia Summitt, 17, of 1106 Shelby road, collided Thursday at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Railroad ave nue and Ridge street. King said the Miller car was going South on Railroad. The Summitt car came across the bridge traveling West but failed to see the Miller car. Minor damages resulted from a collision between cars operated by Marie Bledsoe Costner, 1270 Midpines, and Richard Clark Stowe, 831 Piedmont avenue, Tues day at 3:34 pjn. Patrolman B. P. Cooke said Mrs. Costner was making a left turp onto Juniper street when the car operated by Stowe struck the Costner vehicle in the left side. Damages were estimated at $80 I to the Costner car and $50 to the Stowe vehicle, Cooke said.
