Two are mentioined here. Appalachian State University has a unique bachelor of tech nology program, designed for outstanding gnadiuates of tech nical curriculur.is. This program providis the second two years of education for those who have completeid certain two-year cur riculums. I was just wondering as to why our fair city hasn’t as our neighboring city Charlotite has, ventured out for some of tliese funds in build ing a new police complex such as Charlotte has with—.the latest police technology. Having worked with numerous police depart- ments throughout the ujriited States, Europe and Asia, I feci that our city coulcT use a ni>w police complex. As I feel perhaps in many Instances there ate others vVho fool as I do. To work under conditions, where city gov ernment and the police depart ment are housed under one com plex it's very difficult to function properly. Therefore .since Kings Mountain is growing by leaps and bounds, I feel a.s many oth ers that OUT police department I deserves the b^t as well as the tax payem. A newpolice complex, a new location, a new approach. I for one believe that we have as a finer group of dedicated men in our police department of the City of Kings Mountain, as anywhere throughout thejiation. And they deserve bet&r. Respectfully, E. H.
