A passing motorist found a
homemade dynamite bomb today
at the heavily traveled intersec
tion of the Dallas-Cherryville
Highway and St. Marks Ohuroh
Road. '
Police said although someone
had iiittomptcd to light the fuse
of the bomb, it failed to explode.
Throe sper>t matches were found
ne.arby, police saiid.
The bomb was discovered about
8:30 a.m. by O. k. Horn of Kings
Mountain, R-3. He is helping to
build a house near Dallas.
He told police he spotted the
