Herndon, Jr. P. O. Box 826 Kings Mountain, N. C. Dear Mr. Herndon: Pursuant to your letter request to Mr. A. R. Eng land, dated May 3, 1971,1 herewith submit answers to your inquiry. (a) Who financed the building of the Project? Gaston County financed the entire portion of the project within Gaston County. (b) The City of Kings Mountain processed an appli cation for said project with the Gaston County Board of Commissioners utility extension policy. (c) The City of Kings Mountain received and awarded bids on this project, all in accordance with the Gas ton County utility extension policy. (d) Gaston County assumed the full cost of pumping station on said project. This portion of cost was in Gas ton County. (e) The City of Kings Mountain operates, controls ajid maintains the system within Gaston County. Reve nue from this system is the sole prerequisite of the City of Kings Mountain.
