Dwayne Rucker, third grader at Bethware school
and son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Rucker of the Patter
son Grove community, copped the trophy and a silver
dollar as the winner In the main event of the Pinewood
Derby held by Pack 524 Denlll of the Tryon Commun
ity Friday.
Eight-year-old Dwayne also won a blue ribbon
and a half dollar in the heat race in which 40 boys
participated with cars they had made.
Young Rucker is grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Long and Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Rucker of Kings
Mountain.
