The Kings Mountain all stars will play In the 8 p. m. game each night until they are eliminated or are the state champions. Action gets underway at 1 p. m. Friday with the Area O champion (probably Washington) meeting the Area E champ (probably Beaufort). At 8 p. m., the Area F hamp (probably Oreenvllle) will meet the Area B winner (Clark Orlftlth of Charlotte), and at 6 p. m., the Area D champ (either Union County or Cabarrus County) will take on the Area C champ (Foothills). The Foothills team In cludes all-stars from four counties, Tadkln, Alexander, Iredell and Davie. Kings Mountain will meet the Area A cham pion, either South Bun combe County or North Buncombe County. The locals battled their way back through the loser’s bracket and whipped East Mecklen burg 2-1 In Monday’s first game to force a second and deciding contest. East Meek had put the Mounties In the loser’s bracket Saturday with a 8-3 vic tory. Kings Mountain managed only four hits In Monday’s championship game while Esist Meek went on a 10-hlt attack against KM hurlers David Cobb and Chris Kedter.
